My Philosophy & Goals Educating is less about imparting knowledge concerning a subject matter and more about igniting intelligent and creative thought. The processing of information leads to not only mastery of content, but also to mastery of skills that can be gleaned from in future. As a vessel of empowerment, my desire is to equip my students through learning and intelligent discussion to become independent thinkers with self-actualized and realized convictions that provoke them to live, to do, and to be on healthy and constructive terms as law-abiding citizens of the world. Technology plays a key role in equipping and supporting students for an ever-changing and expanding world. I enjoy constructively incorporating technology to further engage students in the learning process, as connected to the National Educational Technology Plan. In whatever capacity I serve my students, I will educate, enlighten, and empower, as inspired by Dr. Gloria Wade Gayles.
